Welcome to the next generation of PC Card technology. ExpressCard slots are the future

of add-on connectivity for laptops. There is continual pressure for laptops to reduce in

size and extend battery life. ExpressCards are smaller than current PCMCIA cards and

they also have advanced power management features that make them more efficient

at saving battery life. They are also hot swappable, so the PC can stay active when

expansion options are added or removed, enabling communications, memory and

security options to be easily added to a PC with minimum impact.

ExpressCard products can be based on either USB or PCI Express communications.

The Brainboxes ExpressCard range contains both options, giving you maximum

choice for your application. The PCMCIA to ExpressCard Adaptor can be used with

the VX range or any other USB based ExpressCard.
