Low profile PCI is similar to standard PCI in terms of protocols, signals, and drivers,

but uses a more compact form factor with a shorter raw card and new mounting bracket.

PCs with low profile PCI are especially popular in the hotel, banking, and retail industry

because of their reduced footprint. They are used to connect peripheral devices such as

cheque readers, credit card readers and barcode readers.

All the products on this page are based on Brainboxes high performance LYNX chip

with massive 128byte FIFO buffers to ensure smooth and reliable data transfer.

Multiport (cabled) low profile cards are supplied with fully moulded cables.
