Multiport cards provide a neat and robust way to add up to 8 serial ports to a single

PCI slot. Several cards can be used in a single PC, meaning that up to 40 serial ports

can be added to a PC with 5 free expansion slots. They are ideal for terminal servers

and test beds as all ports are able to transmit data simultaneously at full speed.

They also provide a cost effective way to add several modems to a server.

All the products on this page are based on Brainboxes high performance LYNX chip

with large 32 or 64 byte FIFO buffers to ensure smooth and reliable data transfer.

True COM ports

Brainboxes’ PCI cards create real COM ports within Windows.

This means that they will work with all applications.
